Kastaplast midrange/fairway in K1 plastic, with more turn than the Kaxe Z. For long, technical shots down narrow fairways.

The Stig is the natural evolution of the Kaxe Z — a midrange/fairway driver hybrid with more turn and less fade than its predecessor. Its name means “path” in Swedish, which is exactly what it’s for: carving your way through the narrowest, most technical fairways. With speed 6, glide 5, turn -2 and fade 1, it offers a neutral-to-understable flight that glides a long way and finishes with a very gentle, predictable fade.

According to the manufacturer, “there’s no need to get nervous on long, narrow fairways — use your best touch and watch the disc glide and land in the circle”. The Stig is especially useful for controlled shots in the woods, hyzer flips, gentle turnovers and downwind drives. The community describes it as a “cheat code” for beginners chasing more distance and a surgical tool for advanced players in technical situations. Just as comfortable on backhand as on forehand thanks to its soft rim profile.

Kastaplast Kaxe Z K1
— the Stig’s direct predecessor, same speed (6/5/0/2). The Kaxe Z has less turn and more fade. The Stig is more understable (-2 vs 0) with a softer finish (1 vs 2) — more workable for shaped shots.

Discmania FD (Jackal C-Line)— another slightly understable fairway driver (7/6/0/1). The FD is faster with more glide. The Stig is slower and easier to control — for players who want the same concept with more control and less speed.

Latitude 64 Explorer Project Grip— another neutral midrange/fairway hybrid (7/5/0/2). The Explorer is a little faster and more overstable. The Stig has more turn and flies straighter with less effort — ideal for players looking for less fade.
