Recomendado para:

Overstable Kastaplast approach disc in K1 Hard plastic. For approaches that need to finish, backhand or forehand.

The Järn is Kastaplast's first overstable approach disc — and its name says it all. Järn means “iron” in Swedish, and this disc has exactly that toughness and reliability. With speed 4.5, glide 3, turn 0 and fade 3, it flies low and short and finishes with a pronounced, consistent, non-negotiable hook. A flat, beadless profile that's very comfortable for both backhand and forehand. The manufacturer describes it as “equally competent for touchy flex shots as for full-power hyzers”.

This 2025 Tour Series edition carries the stamp of Joseph Anderson, known throughout the community as “Joey Buckets” — a nickname he even uses on his official PDGA profile. He was the DGPT's most improved player in 2024, climbing 50 places in the rankings after his first win at the LWS Open at Idlewild. K1 Hard gives an even more pronounced hook than standard K1, making it especially reliable when you need the disc to finish, no excuses.

K1 Hard

A stiffer version of Kastaplast's premium K1 plastic. It keeps the polished finish and the blend of firmness and grip that define K1, but its extra hardness means it wears more slowly and adds a touch of stability. Ideal if you want to keep the mold's original flight for longer without the plastic softening with use.

Si lo comparamos con...

Kastaplast Berg
— the Berg (1/1/0/2) is even shorter with less fade. The Järn is faster and finishes harder — for approach shots where the Berg falls short or you need more hook at the end.

Discraft Zone— the benchmark overstable approach disc. A very similar flight, but the Järn has a flatter profile and K1 Hard is comparable in durability to Z Line. Choose based on your preferred plastic feel.

Discmania Tactic— both are flat-profiled, beadless overstable approach discs. The Tactic (4/2/0/3) has less glide and is a little shorter. The Järn has more glide and covers a bit more distance before the fade.
