Axiom Discs midrange in softer, grippier Neutron Soft plastic. A very straight flight for control shots and long approaches.

The Hex is the most popular midrange in the Axiom Discs range — and for good reason. According to the manufacturer, it's “hypnotically straight” and one of those discs that finds a place in any bag. With speed 5, glide 5, turn -1 and fade 1, it offers an utterly neutral flight that holds the line you give it and finishes with a gentle, reliable fade. At high speeds it produces slightly understable lines; at moderate speeds it flies completely straight.

Perfect for control drives on tight fairways, approach shots of any distance and forehand shots that need precision. Its versatility is its biggest selling point: hyzer flips, turnovers, straight lines — the Hex does them all with the same level of confidence. The 176-179g version is especially reliable in the wind thanks to the extra weight, which stabilises the flight without changing its neutral character.

Neutron Soft

A soft version of Axiom's premium Neutron plastic. Substantially softer and more flexible than standard Neutron, with more grip and a more cushioned feel in the hand. It keeps the same striking opaque colours as Neutron. According to the manufacturer itself, Neutron Soft is more flexible without reaching the softness of Electron — a middle ground that works especially well in the cold or whenever you want more feel in the hand without sacrificing the disc's shape. It beats in a bit faster than standard Neutron with use.

Si lo comparamos con...

Axiom Neutron Hex (standard)— same mold and identical numbers. Standard Neutron is firmer and more durable; Soft is softer, grippier and has more feel in the hand. The choice comes down to the player's tactile preference.

Discraft Buzzz ESP— the benchmark neutral midrange (5/4/-1/1). Discraft's ESP is grippier than Z Line, comparable in feel to Neutron Soft. The Hex Soft has more glide and flies a little further.

Kastaplast Kaxe K1 Soft— also neutral, in soft, grippy plastic. The Kaxe (6/5/0/2) is a little faster with more fade. The Hex Soft is more accessible for arms with less power thanks to its turn -1.
