Overstable Latitude 64 midrange in Royal Clear plastic. For controlled shots that need to fade, on backhand or forehand.

The Fire is the newest addition to Latitude 64’s midrange range — PDGA approved in December 2025. It was designed to fill the overstable midrange slot missing from the brand’s line-up. With speed 5, glide 3, turn 0 and fade 3, it offers a straight, controlled flight that finishes with a strong, completely predictable fade. A flat, beadless profile — just as comfortable on backhand as on forehand, with a clean, consistent release in any conditions.

According to the manufacturer, it’s the disc “for players who demand a consistent, reliable flight and a strong, predictable finish”. It holds up to torque without turning over — the overstable midrange you reach for when the Hex or the Claymore turn over under power. Perfect for hyzer approaches, flex shots, headwinds and any situation where you need the midrange to fade, no questions asked. According to early users, Royal Clear makes it slightly more stable than Grand.

Royal Clear

A new Latitude 64 plastic launched in 2026, part of the Royal line. A clear version of Royal Grand with a slightly firmer flight plate and the same tacky grip that defines the whole Royal line. The transparency lets you appreciate the colours and the stamp design from both sides of the disc. It keeps the Royal Line's NexEdge and NexFeel technologies. According to the manufacturer, it combines a confident release, consistent feel and reliable performance under power.

Discraft Buzzz OS— the benchmark overstable midrange (5/4/0/3). The Buzzz OS has a little more glide. The Fire has less glide, but Royal Clear gives it better grip and a slightly more consistent flight in tough conditions.

Kastaplast Nord K1— another overstable midrange (5/4/0/3). Very similar numbers to the Fire. The difference is the plastic — Latitude 64’s Royal Clear versus Kastaplast’s K1. Choose based on brand and the feel you prefer.

Axiom Neutron Hex— the Fire’s neutral counterpart in concept (5/5/-1/1). The Hex is more understable with more glide. The Fire is for the situations where the Hex turns over — the trusty overstable versus the versatile neutral.
