Understable Kastaplast fairway driver in K1 Grind plastic. Long, smooth flights, ideal for average arms and turnover shots.

The Falk is Kastaplast’s understable fairway driver — and its name says it all. Falk means “falcon” in Swedish, and this disc flies with the elegance and precision of the bird that inspired it. With speed 9, glide 6, turn -2 and fade 1, it offers a long, smooth and very satisfying flight: it turns slightly early on, glides a remarkable distance thanks to its glide of 6 and finishes with a very gentle fade. According to the manufacturer, it’s ideal for downwind shots, long-range anhyzers and hyzer flips.

It’s the faster, more understable sibling of the Kaxe Z — where the Stig offers surgical precision at low speed, the Falk adds speed and distance for stronger arms. Just as effective on backhand as on forehand, with a 19 mm rim that sits comfortably in most hands. “Super glidey and understable” in the community’s words — the disc that always makes you feel you’ve thrown further than expected.

K1 Grind

The sustainable version of Kastaplast's premium K1 plastic. Made from 100% recycled K1 plastic — Kastaplast collects the leftover material from its own K1 disc production, grinds it and turns it into new plastic without mixing it with other materials or using second-hand discs. The result has the same quality, durability and grip as standard K1, but with a significantly lower environmental impact. Some players notice that K1 Grind flies a bit more stable than standard K1.

Discraft Heat ESP
— another popular understable fairway driver (9/6/-3/1). The Heat has more turn. The Falk is a little more neutral and predictable — more reliable into a headwind and more versatile across different shot types.

Latitude 64 Jade Gold
— another understable, accessible driver (9/6/-2/1). Identical numbers to the Falk. The difference is the plastic — Kastaplast’s K1 Grind versus Latitude 64’s Gold Line — and how it feels in your hand.

Kastaplast Stig K1— the Falk’s slower sibling (6/5/-2/1). The Stig is slower and easier to control. The Falk is faster and covers more distance — for players who have already mastered the Stig and want to take the next step.
