Westside Discs midrange in VIP-Ice plastic, comfortable and easy to throw. For gentle turnovers and control shots at any level.

Westside Discs hails from Finland, and all its discs take their names from mythology and the Kalevala epic. “Tursas” is the sea monster of the Kalevala — a creature of the deep with destructive power that, on the course, translates into total control. Westside is part of the Trilogy group along with Latitude 64 and Dynamic Discs.

The Tursas is Westside Discs' most controllable midrange — designed for the everyday player who wants disc golf to be more fun. With speed 5, glide 5, turn -2 and fade 1, it offers a comfortable, accessible flight with a gentle turn and a very moderate finish. According to the manufacturer, it makes midrange anhyzers easy, and for slower arms it flies straight and glides all the way. Its shallower grip than most midranges on the market makes it especially comfortable for small hands, women and young players.

The Freeze edition has a winter-themed design that goes perfectly with the translucent VIP-Ice plastic. For advanced players it's an excellent tool for holding anhyzers, distance hyzer flips and finesse shots on technical fairways. VIP-Ice makes it a bit more overstable than standard VIP — which on the Tursas means a slightly less aggressive turn and a more predictable flight in moderate wind.

VIP-Ice

Westside Discs premium blend between standard VIP and VIP-X. Stiffer and more durable than VIP, with a slightly more overstable flight. VIP's characteristic translucent finish — over 98% the same polymer as Latitude 64's Opto. It keeps its flight properties for a long time and gives consistent grip in any condition.

Axiom Neutron Detour— also a versatile understable midrange (5/5/-2/1). Identical numbers to the Tursas. The difference is the plastic and Axiom's GYRO system vs Westside's VIP-Ice — choose based on brand and preferred feel.

Kastaplast K4 Svea Dealer Exclusive— also a neutral-to-understable midrange (5/6/-1/0). The Svea has more glide and fade 0. The Tursas VIP-Ice has more turn and a bit more fade — for players who want more turn and less finish than the Svea.

Dynamic Discs Fuzion Motive— also designed for beginners and developing arms (8/6/-3/2). The Motive is a faster fairway driver. The Tursas is slower and more controllable — for anyone who wants to start with a midrange before moving on to drivers.
