Very overstable Obsidian Discs fairway driver in H9 plastic. For wind, forehands and shots that need to finish hard.

Obsidian Discs is a small Finnish brand founded in 2014. The Tremor is their overstable speed 9 driver — approved by the PDGA on 21 March 2022. It's one of the most highly rated niche discs among players who know the brand.

The Tremor is Obsidian Discs' go-to overstable driver — and the manufacturer describes it in very direct terms: “very overstable but relatively slow in speed class 9. The Tremor's final fade becomes quite pronounced as the disc starts to lose speed, so the player needs good arm speed to get the best out of this disc. It's a very precise control disc that can be thrown on special anhyzer angles and, of course, on normal hyzers and flat releases”.

The 2.0 cm rim and speed 9 profile make it a very manageable control driver for hands of any size — more comfortable than a wide-rimmed distance driver, but with more power than a speed 7 fairway driver. Perfect for precise overstable forehands, hyzers that need to finish with authority, spike hyzer approaches and headwind shots where more understable drivers can't hold up. H9 provides exceptional grip that gives you real confidence on the release in any conditions.

H9

Obsidian Discs premium plastic, developed in collaboration with Finland's high-end plastics industry. Exceptionally durable, flexible and with great grip even in wet conditions. The community compares it to Kastaplast's K1 or a slightly softer Innova Star, but with better grip from the very first throw. It's also one of the best plastics on the market for custom dyeing.

Discraft Big Z Predator
— also a very overstable speed 9 fairway driver (9/4/1/4). The Predator has a positive turn of 1 — even more resistant. According to its description, the Tremor H9 has a very pronounced fade at the end — both are tools for wind and extreme hyzers.

Kastaplast K1 Malm— also overstable, speed 10 (10/4/0/2.5). The Malm is a little faster. According to the official description, the Tremor has a more pronounced fade at the end — for situations where the Malm doesn't finish enough.

Obsidian Discs Rift H9— Obsidian's understable sibling (11/5/-3/1). The Rift is much faster and the complete opposite in stability. The Tremor H9 is for when you need the disc to finish — the Rift is for when you need it to turn.
