Understable Discraft distance driver in very grippy ESP plastic. Ideal for slower arms and long hyzer flip shots.

The Thrasher is one of Discraft's best-known and best-selling distance drivers — described by the manufacturer as “understable without being flippy, for long bombs with surprisingly little effort”. With speed 12, glide 5, turn -3 and fade 2, and a stability rating of just 0.4, it's a disc that flips up from hyzer, turns generously early on and finishes with a gentle, controlled fade. The community describes it as a “wide-rimmed Heat” — faster than the Heat but just as accessible and easy to handle.

Perfect for slower arms that want real distance without needing extreme power, and completely suitable for powerful arms that use it for aggressive hyzer flips, long-range turnovers and rollers. Missy Gannon, among other pros, relies on it as a go-to distance disc. In ESP the grip is exceptional from the very first throw and the colour swirls make every disc visually unique.

ESP

Discraft premium plastic launched in 2006, created to combine exceptional grip with great durability. Opaque in appearance with its trademark colour swirls, it's grippier than Z from the very first throw and gradually beats in towards a slightly more understable flight with use. Slightly less durable than standard Z, but the difference is minimal under normal conditions.

Kastaplast K1 Impa
— also a very understable distance driver (11/6/-4/1). The Impa has more turn and less fade. The Thrasher ESP is a bit more neutral at the end — more finishing fade than the Impa and a bit more reliable in moderate wind.

Latitude 64 Royal Clear Grace— also an accessible understable distance driver (11/6/-1/2). The Grace has much less turn. The Thrasher ESP is much more understable (-3 vs -1) — for players who want more turn and more curving distance.

Dynamic Discs Fuzion Heist— also an understable distance driver (12/5/-1.5/2). The Heist has much less turn. The Thrasher ESP is significantly more understable (-3 vs -1.5) — the extreme-distance disc versus the workable control driver.
