Overstable Discmania approach disc in Exo Hard plastic, firmer than Exo Soft. For short approaches and headwinds.

Although the Tactic is listed in the putt and approach category, its main purpose is to be a reliable approach disc.

It has low glide and a very dependable fade to perform in all conditions.

The Tactic excels on approaches and short throws, both backhand and forehand, but when the headwind picks up you may well find yourself throwing the Tactic for those shots too.

Exo: base plastic available in two flexes: Soft and Hard. Exo plastic offers great grip, especially the soft version. It wears in gradually.

The Tactic is Discmania's overstable approach disc. With speed 4, glide 2, turn 0 and fade 3, it flies short and straight and finishes with a very reliable fade, regardless of arm power. It's the tool for backhand or forehand approaches, short precision shots and, above all, for playing into a headwind, when a normal putter rises up and sails long.

In Exo Hard the Tactic feels firm in the hand and holds its stability longer than in Exo Soft. It's a base plastic, so it's affordably priced with decent grip in any conditions; with use it gradually seasons towards a slightly straighter flight.

Exo Hard

The firm version of Discmania's Exo base plastic. Stiffer than Exo Soft, it gives a clean, consistent release and keeps the mold's stability for longer, because it beats in more slowly. Good grip in any condition and an affordable price — ideal for approach discs and for beginners.

Kastaplast Järn K1 Hard — also an overstable approach disc (4.5/3/0/3). The Järn has a bit more glide and a more durable premium plastic. The Tactic is shorter and more predictable: it lands sooner and slides less.

Discmania Tactic Exo Soft — the same mold in soft plastic. Soft grips more and moulds to your hand better in the cold, but seasons sooner. Exo Hard keeps its strong fade for longer.

Obsidian Splinter H9 — an even more overstable approach disc (3/2/0/3.5). The Splinter is a little slower with more fade. The Tactic is a notch faster and reaches slightly longer shots.
