Overstable Kastaplast fairway driver in K1 Hard plastic. A workhorse disc for windy days and forehands that handles power without turning over.

The Stål is Kastaplast's overstable fairway driver. “Stål” means steel in Swedish, and it flies just as solidly: with speed 9, glide 4, turn 0 and fade 3, it stands up to the wind, doesn't turn over with power and finishes with a firm, predictable fade. It's a workhorse disc for control shots, forehands and windy days.

In K1 Hard it's even more wear-resistant and holds its stability longer than in regular K1. K1 Hard only comes out in Kastaplast's Tour Series, so this Fritiof Fagergren edition is hard to find.

K1 Hard

A stiffer version of Kastaplast's premium K1 plastic. It keeps the polished finish and the blend of firmness and grip that define K1, but its extra hardness means it wears more slowly and adds a touch of stability. Ideal if you want to keep the mold's original flight for longer without the plastic softening with use.

Discraft Raptor Big Z — the same numbers (9/4/0/3), with a flatter top. Two very similar options for control shots in the wind.

Kastaplast Lots K1 Hard — the same speed but more neutral (9/5/-1/2). The Lots is for long straight shots; the Stål is for when you need the disc to come back safely.

Latitude 64 Saint Opto X-out — speed 9 with much more glide (9/7/-1/2). The Stål has much more fade and is more reliable into a headwind.
