Control fairway driver from Latitude 64’s Royal line, in Royal Grand plastic. For players who put accuracy ahead of distance.

The Mighty is the quintessential control fairway driver in Latitude 64’s Royal line — the “workhorse” you reach for on almost any hole. According to the manufacturer, it’s designed for players who value accuracy over raw distance. With speed 7, glide 5, turn -1 and fade 2, it holds a straight line for a long time before finishing with a predictable, reliable fade. It sits between the Glory and the Brave in Latitude 64’s fairway driver range.

The turn of -1 makes it workable and accessible for every level — players with less power will get straight lines with real distance, and advanced players will use it for hyzer flips, controlled anhyzers and narrow fairways where the disc has to do exactly what you ask. The slightly flat profile makes for a clean, consistent release on both backhand and forehand. According to Latitude 64, it’s one of the most predictable discs in the whole Royal line.

Royal Grand

Latitude 64 premium plastic, part of its Royal line. It starts from the same base as Opto but adds an extra polymer for more grip without sacrificing durability. Opaque finish with vivid colours and a softer, gummier feel than Opto. It flies slightly more workable than Opto in the same mold, which makes it many players' preferred choice for their drivers. Excellent in cold and wet conditions thanks to its extra grip.

Latitude 64 Explorer Royal Grand— same plastic and almost identical numbers (7/5/0/2). The Explorer has turn 0 and is a little more neutral. The Mighty has turn -1 and is a little more workable — for players who want a touch more early turn.

Discmania FD C-Line (Jackal)— another neutral-to-understable fairway driver (7/6/0/1). The FD has more glide and a softer fade. The Mighty has more fade and more bite at the end — more reliable into a headwind than the FD.

Kastaplast Idog K1— another neutral fairway driver (7/5/-0.5/2). Very similar numbers to the Mighty. The difference is the plastic — Latitude 64’s Royal Grand vs Kastaplast’s K1. Choose based on brand and the feel you prefer.
