Kastaplast midrange/fairway driver hybrid in durable K1 plastic. Flies straight and stable — ideal for control shots.

The Kaxe is one of the most recognisable discs in the Kastaplast range — and its name says it all. Kaxe is an old Swedish word meaning “a self-confident person”, and that's exactly what it conveys on the course. According to the manufacturer, it's the “king of the middle of the flight chart” — the perfect balance point between midrange and fairway driver. With speed 6, glide 5, turn 0 and fade 2, it flies straight and controlled with a predictable fade at the end.

The Kaxe is the ultimate control disc: equally effective for drives on tight fairways, forehand approach shots, moderate-power throws and one-disc rounds. The small bead on the rim gives you a consistent grip and a clean release in any conditions. It doesn't turn, it doesn't surprise — it goes exactly where you send it. The community describes it as “a Teebird in midrange form” or “the most reliable midrange there is”.

Retooled version (since 2023):The Kaxe was redesigned in 2023 to set it apart more clearly from the Kaxe Z. The current version (6/5/0/2) has more glide and less fade than the original mold (6/4/0/3), making it more versatile with a gentler finish.

Innova Teebird
— the community compares it directly to the Kaxe: the same philosophy of control and moderate stability, but the Teebird is a fairway driver (speed 7) and the Kaxe is slower and more manageable.

Kastaplast Kaxe Z— the Kaxe's understable sibling. The Kaxe Z (6/5/-2/1) turns more and is more accessible for beginners. The Kaxe is more neutral and more reliable in the wind thanks to its turn 0.

Discraft Buzzz— the most popular midrange on the market. The Buzzz (5/4/-1/1) is a bit more understable and accessible. The Kaxe is faster with more fade — more controlled for players with a bit more power.
