Discmania fairway driver in Neo plastic, an X-out with a small cosmetic flaw. Fairway control with a surprisingly long glide.

This disc is an X-out — it has a small cosmetic flaw (imperfect stamp, uneven colour or another minor visual detail) that doesn’t affect flight or durability. It flies exactly the same as any standard Instinct.

The Instinct is one of the most special discs in the Discmania range — it was the first fairway driver in the Evolution line and the first disc released in Neo plastic. According to the manufacturer, it offers the perfect combination of fairway driver control and distance driver reach. With speed 7, glide 5, turn 0 and fade 2, it flies straight and stable with a surprisingly long glide before finishing with a moderate, predictable fade.

It handles the power of advanced players without turning over, and at lower speeds it still delivers a controlled, useful flight. Just as comfortable on backhand as on forehand. According to the Discmania team members who tested it before launch, the verdict was unanimous: “it goes straight in the bag” — and the community has agreed ever since.

Neo

The most durable and stiffest plastic in Discmania's Evolution line, made by Latitude 64. It's a blend of Opto and Gold Line plastics — the result is a semi-translucent plastic with a creamy finish, extremely durable and with exceptional grip in any condition. It has a certain flexibility that gives it a very natural feel in the hand and adds a bit of extra snap at the end of the throw. Neo is the plastic that launched the Evolution line with the Instinct — the first disc in this plastic.

Si lo comparamos con...

Kastaplast K1 Malm— another neutral-to-overstable fairway driver (10/4/0/2.5). The Malm is faster and more overstable. The Instinct Neo is slower with more glide — more workable and accessible for intermediate arms.

Latitude 64 Grand Mighty— a neutral control fairway driver (7/5/-1/2). The Mighty has turn -1 and is a little more workable. The Instinct has turn 0 and is a little more overstable — more reliable into a headwind.

Dynamic Discs Culprit Lucid— a very popular neutral fairway driver (7/5/0/2). Identical numbers to the Instinct. The difference is the plastic and the feel — Discmania’s Neo vs Dynamic Discs’ Lucid. Choose based on brand and the feel you prefer.
