Understable MVP distance driver in recycled R2 Neutron plastic. Maximum distance with minimum effort.

R2 Neutron is MVP’s premium recycled plastic — made from old and broken discs that are ground up and re-formed. Slightly softer than standard Neutron, with the trademark black core and white rim. The stamps on the R2 discs from the GYROpalooza box are assorted — they may vary from disc to disc.

The Impulse is MVP’s understable distance driver — designed to maximise distance with minimum effort. With speed 9, glide 5, turn -3 and fade 1, it turns generously early on and finishes with a very gentle fade. In the manufacturer’s words: “the Impulse is the longest-flying disc for most players — its understable profile and high glide let arms of every level get real distance without needing extreme power”. For beginners and intermediate players it’s an S-curve distance machine; for advanced players it’s the tool for long hyzer flips, sustained turnovers and downwind drives.

In R2 Neutron the Impulse is a little softer and grippier than in standard Neutron — ideal for a clean release on an understable driver, where controlling the moment you let go is critical. The black core with a white rim is the trademark finish of all MVP R2 discs. The recycled plastic has the same flight characteristics as Neutron, with a smaller carbon footprint and a slightly more flexible feel.

R2 Neutron

MVP's premium recycled plastic — made from old and broken discs that have been ground up and re-formed. A bit softer than standard Neutron, with good grip, feel and flexibility. Black core and white rim on every model. Same flight as Neutron, with a reduced carbon footprint. A sustainable choice without sacrificing performance.

Discraft ESP Scorch— another understable speed-11 distance driver (11/6/-2/2). The Scorch is faster with less turn. The Impulse R2 is slower and more understable — more accessible for arms that can’t throw speed 11 cleanly.

Dynamic Discs Fuzion Motive— another very understable driver for beginners (8/6/-3/2). The Motive has more glide and more fade. The Impulse R2 is a little faster with less fade — more raw distance with an even softer finish.

Obsidian Discs Rift H9— another very understable flat-top distance driver (11/5/-3/1). The Rift is faster and needs more arm. The Impulse R2 is slower and more accessible — the option for anyone who wants the same understable profile without needing speed 11.
