Kastaplast’s most understable driver, in K1 plastic. For long turnovers, slower arms and shots that need to open up.

The Impa is the latest addition to the Kastaplast catalogue — and it fills a gap the brand hadn’t covered until now: the very understable driver. With speed 11, glide 6, turn -4 and fade 1, it’s the most understable disc in the entire Kastaplast range. A driver that turns hard early, glides for a huge distance thanks to its glide of 6 and finishes with a very gentle fade. According to the manufacturer, it’s “a fun disc that can be used in many different ways depending on the situation”.

For players with less power it’s the perfect tool for real distance without needing a big arm — the turn of -4 activates the glide even at moderate speeds. For advanced players it’s the disc for sky rollers, aggressive hyzer flips, long-range anhyzers and downwind drives where you want to squeeze out every metre. Just be careful into a headwind — with turn -4 it opens up much more than you’d expect.

Latitude 64 Diamond Opto Air— also very understable (8/6/-3/1) but much slower. The Impa is faster and gets far more distance from the same power. The Diamond is for beginners; the Impa is for every level.

Discraft Hades ESP (McBeth)— also understable with lots of glide (12/6/-3/2). The Hades is faster and a bit more overstable at the end. The Impa has more turn (-4 vs -3) and a gentler fade — more extreme as it opens up.

Kastaplast Älva K1— Kastaplast’s other understable driver (11/6/-2/2). The Älva is more neutral with more fade. The Impa is much more understable (-4 vs -2) — for players who want more turn and more distance on curving lines.
