Very straight Axiom Discs midrange, a Lab Second with a small cosmetic flaw that doesn’t affect its flight. A disc that fits in any bag.

This disc is a Lab Second (L2) — it has a small cosmetic factory flaw (imperfect stamp, uneven colour or another minor visual detail) that doesn’t affect flight or durability. The plastic can be any line from the MVP/Axiom range. It flies exactly the same as any standard Hex.

The Hex is Axiom’s benchmark neutral midrange — described by the manufacturer as “mesmerizingly straight”. With speed 5, glide 5, turn -1 and fade 1, it’s one of the straightest, most versatile midranges on the market: it holds almost any line you throw it on. For advanced players it will produce slightly understable lines at full power; for slower arms it’s a perfectly straight, predictable disc that holds any angle.

This Hex comes as a Lab Second from the GYROpalooza 2025 box — the plastic can be any line from the MVP/Axiom range (Neutron, Proton, Electron or others). The cosmetic flaw is minor and doesn’t affect the flight at all. A chance to get one of the best midranges on the market at a Lab Second price.

L2 (Lab Second)

Discs with minor cosmetic factory imperfections — an imperfect stamp, uneven colour or some other visual detail that doesn't meet MVP's quality standards for regular sale. The plastic, the mold and the flight characteristics are exactly the same as on a standard disc. A way to get MVP/Axiom premium plastics at a reduced price.

Obsidian Discs Lava H9
— another neutral-to-understable midrange (5/5/-1.5/1). The Lava has more turn. The Hex L2 is a bit more neutral (turn -1 vs -1.5) — more predictable with less turn, for players who want the most controlled midrange.

Discraft Fuzed Z Buzzz— the classic benchmark neutral midrange (5/4/-1/1). The Buzzz has less glide. The Hex L2 has glide 5 — more distance and more glide for the same speed and the same stability.

Innova Star Mako3— another very popular neutral midrange (5/5/0/0). The Mako3 has turn 0 and fade 0 — completely neutral. The Hex L2 has turn -1 and fade 1 — a little more workable and with a more predictable finish at the end.
