Westside Discs midrange in translucent, durable VIP-Ice plastic. A straight flight that holds its angle, with lots of glide for its speed.

The Gatekeeper is Westside Discs’ benchmark midrange — known in the community as “the Buzzz of the Trilogy family”. According to the manufacturer, “the Gatekeeper wants to go exactly where you throw it and excels at holding angles”. With speed 4, glide 5, turn 0 and fade 2, it offers a straight flight with surprisingly long glide for a speed 4 — one of the midranges with the most glide per gram on the market. Thrown with power it flies straight and finishes with a moderate, reliable fade.

This Hockey edition is Westside Discs’ special collaboration with the world of ice hockey — a unique themed stamp that turns the Gatekeeper into a collector’s piece. VIP-Ice adds more stiffness than standard VIP and a slightly more overstable flight, which in the Gatekeeper means more torque resistance and a slightly stronger fade than in standard VIP — perfect for players who already know the Gatekeeper and want a more reliable version for demanding conditions.

VIP-Ice

Westside Discs premium blend between standard VIP and VIP-X. Stiffer and more durable than VIP, with a slightly more overstable flight. VIP's characteristic translucent finish — over 98% the same polymer as Latitude 64's Opto. It keeps its flight properties for a long time and gives consistent grip in any condition.

Si lo comparamos con...

Discraft Fuzed Z Buzzz— the benchmark neutral midrange (5/4/-1/1). The Buzzz is a little faster and a bit more understable. The Gatekeeper VIP-Ice is a little shorter but has more fade and more torque resistance — more reliable in the wind.

Latitude 64 Royal Clear Fire— another overstable midrange (5/3/0/3). The Fire is faster with more fade. The Gatekeeper VIP-Ice is shorter with more glide — more distance before the fade for the same overstability.

Kastaplast K3 Reko— also speed 3–4 with good glide (3/3/0/1). The Reko is a shorter putter. The Gatekeeper VIP-Ice has more glide and more fade — for approach shots where the Reko would come up short.
