Discmania fairway driver in S-Line plastic, between the FD and the FD3 in stability. For precise drives on tight fairways.

The FD1 fills the gap between the FD (very neutral, fade 1) and the FD3 (very overstable) in the Discmania range. With speed 7, glide 4, turn 0 and fade 2, it offers a controlled, predictable flight that finishes with a reliable fade — more stable than the FD but more manageable than the FD3. Perfect for precise drives on tight fairways and for situations where you need the disc to hold its line under pressure.

Its high torque tolerance lets you throw it at full power without losing control — it stands up well to headwinds and finishes on a reliable hyzer round after round. Its flat profile and smooth release make it equally comfortable backhand and forehand. In S-Line it flies noticeably straighter than in C-Line with less effort, making it the preferred option for players who put accuracy first.

Note on this disc: In 2025 Discmania updated the FD1 mold. Discs with 7/4/0/2 printed on them are the original mold — the same one you'll see in most reviews and videos online. If you come across references to an FD1 with different numbers (7/5/0/2), that's the newer version.

S-Line

Discmania premium plastic, made at its plant in Sweden. Grippier and with a slightly softer feel than C-Line, it makes for a clean, repeatable release in any condition. Very durable, although it wears a bit faster than C-Line. Opaque look with vivid colours. Ideal for players who put grip and control ahead of maximum durability.

Discmania FD (Jackal)
— the FD is more neutral (fade 1 vs 2) with more glide (6 vs 4). The FD1 has more bite at the end and is more reliable into a headwind. The FD flies straighter and further in ideal conditions.

Innova Teebird— the long-standing benchmark in this segment, with similar numbers (7/5/0/2). The Teebird has a bit more glide; the FD1 in S-Line stands out for its superior grip and smoother release.

Latitude 64 Explorer
— a similar flight in terms of stability (7/5/0/2), but the Explorer has more glide. The FD1 has a slightly tighter flight and is more reliable in strong wind
