Axiom Discs throwing putter in very soft, grippy Prism Proton Soft plastic. A straight flight with a reliable fade; OTB Open edition.

Prism Proton Soft is a plastic outside MVP/Axiom’s regular production — only available in special runs like the OTB Open. Extremely gummy and grippy, with minimal ground play. Pirate Nate’s “Snail Mail” stamp is a classic that returns to this tournament every year — the snails always arrive, even if they take a little while.

The Envy is one of the most popular throwing putters in the MVP/Axiom family — and Axiom’s first in the category. With speed 3, glide 3, turn 0 and fade 2, it offers a straight flight at high speed with a reliable, consistent fade at the end. In the manufacturer’s words: “the Envy’s dependable straight-to-overstable flight will take your shot right where you want it — the chains. It has a soft, modern feel that fits perfectly in the hand, giving you confidence for both putts and approaches”. Its lower, “lid-like” profile compared with the Ion and the Anode makes it unique in the MVP family.

This OTB Open edition features Pirate Nate’s “Snail Mail” stamp — one of the best-loved designs in the whole disc golf community, which returns to the OTB Open every year. “The snails always arrive, even if they take a little while” — the perfect motto for an overstable putter. Prism Proton Soft is a plastic outside regular production that only appears in special editions, which makes this one genuinely hard to find again.

Prism Proton Soft

A plastic outside MVP/Axiom's regular production — only available in special runs. It combines a Proton Soft core (extremely gummy, grippy and with minimal ground play) with a standard Proton rim. Semi-translucent with vivid colours. Prism is Axiom's signature finish with contrasting colours between core and rim. According to the community: “one of the most stable plastics MVP makes besides Eclipse”.

Kastaplast K3 Hard Reko X— another overstable putter, with a concave wing (3/3/0/2). Identical numbers to the Envy. The Reko X has a concave wing and comes in K3 Hard. The Envy Prism Proton Soft is gummier and has Axiom’s GYRO technology — the same fade, a different feel.

Discmania Active Shogun— another overstable beaded putter (2/4/0/2). The Shogun has more glide and a bead. The Envy Soft is beadless with less glide — shorter and more controlled, with the gummy grip of Prism Proton Soft.

Innova DX Aviar3— another classic overstable putter (3/3/0/2). Identical numbers to the Envy. The Aviar3 is firmer and has a bead. The Envy Prism Proton Soft is gummier and beadless — with the GYRO system and the exceptional grip of Soft plastic.
