Overstable Obsidian Discs fairway driver in H9 plastic, designed for straight control shots that finish with a reliable fade. Works just as well backhand as forehand.

The Cinder is the most overstable fairway driver in the Obsidian Discs range and one of their most versatile molds. With speed 7, glide 5, turn 0 and fade 2, it combines an accessible speed with a straight, controlled flight that finishes with a reliable, moderate fade. According to the manufacturer, it's equally effective backhand and forehand, whatever the player's level.

Its turn 0 makes it very predictable at any arm speed — it won't turn over with power or drop out early. The high glide for an overstable disc lets it cover surprising distances for its speed, making it a very complete control tool: useful for straight shots on tight fairways, forehand approach shots and situations that call for accuracy over maximum distance. Suitable for every level thanks to its low speed and predictable behaviour.

H9

Obsidian Discs premium plastic, developed in collaboration with Finland's high-end plastics industry. Exceptionally durable, flexible and with great grip even in wet conditions. The community compares it to Kastaplast's K1 or a slightly softer Innova Star, but with better grip from the very first throw. It's also one of the best plastics on the market for custom dyeing.

Innova Teebird
— the benchmark of the overstable fairway segment. Very similar flight (7/5/0/2), but the Cinder in H9 has better grip and is a bit more flexible.

Discmania FD (Jackal)— the FD has more turn (-1) and is a bit more understable, ideal for longer, curving shots. The Cinder is straighter and more reliable into a headwind.

Obsidian Shard— the Cinder's understable sibling in the Obsidian range. The Shard (7/5/-1.5/1) turns more and is more accessible for beginners; the Cinder is more neutral and controllable.
